What Are the Policies Regarding International Custom Laws and Taxes?

Luxè Wigs & Hair Toppers cannot be responsible for or offer advice on specific country import taxes and duties. Please be aware of your country's import laws and any associated fees before making a purchase. These fees are non-refundable, regardless of any promotions that may have been applicable at the time of your order.

If your country requires Fumigation Certificates, please note that the costs for these are also non-refundable.

Customers are responsible for all actual shipping costs to facilitate a return, even if a free or discounted shipping promotion was applied to the original order. Should you choose not to pay any required customs or duty fees, the item will be shipped back at your expense, and a restocking fee of $195AUD, along with original shipping and any other incurred fees, will be charged.

For international returns, customers are responsible for accurately completing a customs declaration form. You must declare the item as a 'returned product to the retailer' and follow any guidelines provided. Failure to accurately complete this form could result in additional charges that will be deducted from any refund or exchange.

If a parcel is returned due to non-payment of customs or clearance fees and you request re-shipment, you will be charged for the additional postage. Refusal to pay any incurred custom fees that results in the product being returned will incur the cost of initial postage, any entry fees incurred upon delivery back, and a 10% restocking fee. Any costs related to additional customisations, such as cuts or colour services, will not be refunded.

What Is the Return Policy on Reduced or Sale Items?

Items marked with a 'SALE' tag or purchased using a 'FINAL' discount code are not eligible for refunds for change of mind, incorrect color, base size, or length. Additionally, all items bought from special collections, are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.

Returns and Refunds

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Luxè Wigs & Hair Toppers purchase. If you have any questions or concerns before making a purchase, please feel free to reach out to us at luxewigsandtoppers@gmail.com. Sometimes, a wig or hair topper may require minor adjustments for that perfect fit. We suggest you make contact with us for any measurements and advice before purchasing.

If you find that the item is not to your liking, we do accept returns on all STOCK pieces under the following conditions:

1. All returns must be shipped back within 48 hours of signing for the package. After this timeframe, the sale becomes final. Allowances for return delivery times will be made based on your location and chosen return method.

2. A restocking fee of $195 will be applied to all returns, and this amount will be deducted from your refund. For first time customers only, this fee will be waived.

3. If you decide to cancel your order before it has been shipped, a flat restocking fee of $95 will be deducted from your refund.

Please note, we DO NOT accept returns on IN-STORE PURCHASES, SALE ITEMS, or CUSTOM ORDERS, as these are considered final sales.

What Is the Policy for Faulty Products?

Each wig or hair topper from Luxè Wigs & Hair Toppers goes through rigorous quality checks before being shipped to the customer. In the rare event that you receive a faulty product that we are unable to repair, a full refund will be provided.

What Is the Policy for Custom or Customised Orders?

Custom or customised wig and hair topper orders from Luxè Wigs & Hair Toppers do not offer a refund option for change of mind, incorrect colour, size, or any other modifications. A custom piece is a one-of-a-kind product, made specifically for a particular client.

Custom orders may include, but are not limited to:
- Any specific cuts
- Custom colours

If the custom piece is faulty and we are unable to repair it, a full refund will be provided.

What Should I Do If I Entered the Wrong Shipping Address?

Luxè Wigs & Hair Toppers relies on external postage services for all our deliveries. While we can provide you with estimated delivery times based on the information supplied by the shipping company, we do not have control over the exact delivery dates. Consequently, we cannot guarantee that your wig or hair topper will arrive on or before a specific date.

Why Have I Been Asked to Pay Taxes on My Order?

For international shipping, you may be required to pay inbound duties or taxes before your Luxè Wigs & Hair Toppers order can be delivered to you. The amount you'll owe is determined by your local customs office and is calculated as a percentage of the total cost of your purchase. We recommend that you check your country's duty and tax policies before placing an order.

Please note that these charges are not paid to Luxè Wigs & Hair Toppers and are non-refundable in case of a return or exchange. If you fail to pay these charges, your package will be returned to us. You'll then have the option to either organise reshipment at your own expense or cancel the order, which will result in a restocking fee.

Can I Customise a Stock Wig or Hair Topper?

Yes, you can request customizations for any of our stock pieces. We offer a variety of styling options, such as changing the part, adding curls, cutting length or bangs, adding a darker root, or modifying the lace and clips. Please note that any stock pieces modified in these ways will become Final Sale items and will not be eligible for return.

Can I Use Heat Tools on My Wig or Hair Topper?

Absolutely! All of our Luxè Wigs & Hair Toppers are made from 100% human hair, which means you can style them just like you would your own hair. However, it's important to note that, similar to your natural hair, frequent use of heat tools can cause damage over time.

What Products Should I Use to Maintain My Wig or Hair Topper?

You've made an investment in your Luxè Wig or Hair Topper, so it's essential to also invest in quality care products to maintain its beauty and longevity. We recommend using sulfate-free salon-quality products. Tailoring your product choices to the specific type of hair you've purchased can help prolong its lifespan and appearance. For example, if you have a colour-treated piece, opt for shampoos and conditioners designed for colour-treated hair. For blonde pieces, a purple shampoo can help maintain the vibrant colour.

What Fees Are Non-Refundable?

Shipping costs, credit card charges, import duties, and any other associated fees are non-refundable. Additionally, if you choose to make your purchase using AfterPay or similar payment plan portals, the AfterPay fee of 6% will be deducted from your refund should you choose to return the item.

What Are the Charges for Order Cancellations or Swaps?

If you decide to cancel your order before it has been shipped, a restocking fee of $100AUD will be applied. Should you choose to swap your order for another piece before it is shipped, a swap charge of $40AUD will be incurred.

How Can I Take Accurate Colour-Matching Photos?

For the most accurate colour matching, we recommend taking your photos indoors while facing a bright window. Make sure to turn off all artificial lights, such as downlights and lamps. Aim to capture your whole face and hair within the frame of the photo. After taking the photo, review it to ensure that your hair colour appears as it does in real life. Don't worry, your photos will remain confidential and will not be shared.

What Advice Do You Have for Colouring Luxè Wigs & Hair Toppers?

If you're considering taking your Luxè wig or hair topper to a professional hairdresser for colouring, here are some essential tips to share with them:

- Use the highest-quality, salon-grade colour products.
- Always conduct a test strand before performing any colour work on the piece.
- We generally advise against lightening or bleaching the hair.
- Lighter pieces can be darkened by a trained stylist; we recommend using up to 1.9% peroxide for this.
- Natural, unprocessed hair can be lightened at your own risk by a stylist experienced with alternative hair. If you choose to lighten the hair, it's suggested to use no higher than 3% powder lightener/peroxide.
- Do not leave the hairpiece unattended during the colouring process as it can take on colour very quickly. Regularly check the progress of the colour.
- Exercise caution when applying colour near the silk scalp material. If you have concerns, you can coat the silk material with petroleum jelly, which can be washed out later. Alternatively, you could apply a test patch of colour to the back of the crown silk area.

Please note that thorough rinsing is essential. Should the silk top material stain, it's likely to fade after multiple washes and with time.

Can I Colour My Luxè Wig or Hair Topper?

Yes, our wigs and hair toppers are made of 100% human hair and can be coloured. However, we strongly advise against pre-lightening or bleaching the hair, as it can damage the strands and reduce the longevity of the piece. For best results, we recommend taking your Luxè piece to a professional salon for any colouring or trimming services. Minimal highlights and semi-permanent colour are recommended for maintaining the quality of the piece.

Remember, just like your own hair, the colour on these pieces will fade with each wash, so handle them with care!
